Announcing the China Lake Watershed Survey

Oct 3, 2020

On October 3, the Kennebec County Soil & Water Conservation District, in conjunction with the China Lake Association and other organizations, will be conducting a survey of China Lake’s watershed, a 26 square mile area. This will help “identify and prioritize current sources of soil erosion and storm water runoff on developed land in the watershed.” This data will be vital toward documenting some of the problems that are affecting the lake’s water quality.

We are also looking for volunteers. Call the China Lake Association, (207) 968-1037, or Dale Finseth at Kennebec County SWCD, (207) 621-9000. For additional information,  please email us.
